RESPECT (Whakaute), RESPONSIBILITY (Takohanga) & RESILIENCE (Manawaroa) are the cornerstones of everything we do at Ruawai Primary.  These are our only school rules.  We believe strongly in providing a school culture that exhibits these three core values.   We aim to embed these values via our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) programme by rewarding our learners with RAV cards when they demonstrate these during learning time or in the playground.  During assemblies, classroom teachers will select two learners who have received a RAV card within the last 7 days to receive an award.  We also give certificates to our learners when they reach RAV card milestones e.g 25, 50, 75 etc.  Throughout each year, staff will be observing our learners to identify a learner who consistently demonstrates all three of our values.  This person be be rewarded with an Apple i-pad at our end of year prize-giving.
